Details
Each house is unique, hand built from a white bodied clay and fired mid-range to cone 6. Unless noted, every house's height is between 3-6.5 inches, width is 1.75-3.5 inches and depth is 2-3 inches. Each roof is removeable, and stuck lightly to the body with mounting putty, which can be used continually or discarded according to your preference. Some houses have porches, and of those, some have wood and paper awnings. Houses with wood elements should be treated with more care as far as outdoor weather.
All houses come with a complementary small electric tea light. These take a coin battery (CR-2032). The tea light battery lasts about a week if left on continuously. It is recommended to use the light intermittently.
Specific house details: This is a round house with a crescent moon above the entrance. It has a satin finish on the body of the house and the roof is a matte finish. As with all the house sculptures, this one is full of little imperfections and texture differences. That’s one of the things that makes them so special.
Note: the fourth photo is to show the bottom and top of this variation of house- but the available one is the first three photos.
Materials + Care
All ceramic house sculptures at this time made with mid-range white body clay fired to cone six. This makes sculptures as generally durable as a ceramic mug or bowl. Sculptures that incorporate wood or paper elements (stilt houses, awnings) should be treated more gently and avoid outdoor display.
Little tea lights use CR-2032 coin batteries and if they malfunction i can replace for minimal charge.
