What are the care instructions?
Care instructions vary with the type of piece. If your Little Spirit House is all ceramic, it can be washed with soap and hot water, in the manner of a mug or bowl. If there are wood elements, they must be treated gently. We recommend treating the wood with an oil such as cuting board oil or wood furniture oil. If your Little Spirit House has one of porch awnings made with matchstick wood and paper, we recommend just gently blowing on it or washing carefully with a damp towel. Care of night lights: wipe with damp cloth, avoid water on the bulb/ electric component.
Are the houses outdoor safe?
Some Little Spirit Houses are more safe outdoors than others. If your house is all ceramic, it can provide joy and shelter for very small creatures in the garden except during freezes and snow. (They may be okay in freezes, as long as they drain water, but no guarantees.)
The houses that contain wood or paper elements should stay indoors. Moisture will degrade the wood.
What is the return policy?
f you ordered from our online store, we will accept returns if you contact us within 48 hours of delivery and ship items back within 14 calendar days of delivery. We will send you the return instruction with RA number once we received your email. Items returned without the initial contact and RA number are not eligible for a refund. A 25% restocking fees will be assessed on all returns.
To be eligible for a return, your item(s) must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. Once we receive your package, we will inspect the item(s) and you will be notified if your return has been approved or rejected. Shipping costs will not be refunded.
Are any purchases final sale?
We are unable to accept returns on certain items. These will be carefully marked before purchase.
When will I get my order?
We will work quickly to ship your order as soon as possible. Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with further information. Delivery times vary depending on your location.
Where are your products made?
At this time, all our Little Spirit Houses are hand made in Portland, Oregon.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is calculated based on your location and the items in your order. You will always know the shipping price before you purchase.
Special note: Our website doesn’t do the best job at estimating shipping costs when you purchase multiple items, because it assumes that each item will be shipped separately. We will send you a refund for excess shipping costs once we pack up your order! If you want us to check actual costs before we ship, just send a note!
Do you take custom work requests?
I will occasionally consider custom requests. These requests must fit in with my aesthetic and my current work flow. As a general rule custom orders take much longer than my regular production. Please email with your idea.
